Mandeville Police interrupted a trio attempting to break into an ATM with a welding torch early Saturday, authorities said. An alarm in the ATM called police to the StateWide Bank at 1305 N. Causeway Blvd. about 1:10 a.m., Mandeville Police spokesman Capt Ron Ruple said in a news release.
